Achievements

High-level academic publications

The scientific research and innovation ability of faculty from the School of Atmospheric Sciences has been gradually improved. Innovative achievements with international significance have been made in the research field of formation mechanisms and prediction theories of major disaster weather like typhoon and severe convection, formation mechanisms and predictability of East Asia atmospheric circulation and climate variability, distribution and transportation mechanism and weather/climate effects of air pollutants. Over the past five years, over 450 papers have been published, including more than 300 SCI papers and over 150 high-level SCI papers. The number of high-level SCI papers published by faculty increases year by year, with almost one high-level SCI paper per person annually, reaching the standard of high-level  research-oriented universities in the world.
